She mesmerises us every time and there is absolutely no doubting that Lisa O’Neill has some serious talent.
I have promoted many acts over the past fifteen years are so but I have never had the chance to work or promote Lisa as an artist. Hopefully I will get the chance in the near future.
Those of you who have had the chance to see Lisa perform in an intimate setting will know that her shows are never a dull moment and that she is pulls her audience in with an honest energy.
I have always find her song writing to be genius.
There are moments of black comedy that you can not deny. She is originally from Co Cavan in Ireland but moved to Dublin at the tender age of nineteen. It is here Lisa learnt her craft playing in several different venues through out the city.
Recently Lisa joined a whole host of stars on the Late Late Show to raise money for the Simon Community, I felt her slot on the show was wasted and at times she looked uncomfortable. I also felt that as one of the finest songwriters on the island she deserved more airtime to promote her voice. And although raising money for such a wonderful cause the show spent far to much time on focusing on Bono and The Edge who were also guests on the show.
When live music returns and Lisa begins to tour again please take the time out to go and see one of the finest songwriters in Ireland right now. She is a great storyteller and you will be captivated by her live performance.
