Produced by Gavin Glass, Frozen Stars on the Night was recorded across three studios (Orphan Recording, Hellfire Studio and Strongroom Studios). About the album Jim Murphy says …
“We are over the moon to be releasing our second album, which we have been working on over the last couple of years. Each of the songs speaks to a different human emotion, some of which reflect our own personal experiences while others reflect the experiences of friends and family.
Although the events of the last 18 months can be heard in the likes of ’Free’ and ’Alive Again’, we believe that there is a universal enduring quality to all of the songs. We really enjoyed working with Gavin Glass in making this album and in creating arrangements that served each song. For example, the dynamic build of ’Sunshine in my Brain’ with its lush orchestral strings captures a struggle between
desperation and hope while the live acoustic arrangement of ’Secret Bill’ reflects a simpler life.
We hope that listeners can relate to most if not all of the songs.”
