PAUL QUIN sings of the loss of a parent on new single “ ‘Everything I Loved I Lost (That Day)’

We recently spoke with Paul QUIN on how we felt he maybe a future candidate to write and record a future Bond song. He has that one unique style in his sound that we think a lot of people may agree on.

When speaking with Paul, he tells us, that the new track is also about looking back at a time of great childish innocence and need and the joy of the security that a great Father provides.

The main theme, though, is the shared love of music passed from Father to Son.

The direct storytelling of the lyric is more grounded in folk music but the song is wrapped in a snug blanket of dark and bouncy analogue synth sounds, created by Sebastian and the Dream’s Aidan Casserly and Greg Malocca producer of Miles Graham and AIS amongst others.

The song also manages to name check ABBA, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong which is a decent accomplishment in itself.

Check out the video for the track below now!
