According to a recent interview with Hot Press magazine Dublin’s Thumper reckon there is a lot of spitting and licking and weirdness at their shows.
Well this is exactly what we like to hear at Finbar Hoban Presents. The band reckon that a lot of their influences come from, wait for it…Abba Sonic Youth, The Monkees, Velvet Underground Parquet Courts, Mudhoney, David Bowie etc.

You can almost here influences from Sonic Youth and Parquet Courts especially on tracks such as “Your Bringing Me Down”. Rock most defintely still seem to be alive especially on the Dublin live music scene, for example The Murder Capital, Fontaines D.C. and now Thumper.
