We spoke recently about local Castlebar artists writing and recording their own original and how it is becoming a regular positive occurrence with local artists been brave to perform their original material to a public audience.
Well look no further, we are delighted to hear that local Castlebar singer songwriter Paul Greenan looks set to launch his brand new single titled The Walk on June 28th at Bridge Street Bar in Castlebar.
According to Paul’s Facebook page Paul says,
I’m happy to announce that I will be launching a CD single “The Walk” in Bridge St bar in Castlebar on Friday 28th June at 8:30 pm.
The song is co-written with my friend Pat Staunton and is produced by Eamonn Mulderrig (CCFE music teacher and member of Folk/Americana band Vickers Vimy) and recorded at CCFE music studios as part of their music course.
The song will be available on all online music sites and CD copies will be on sale on the night.
My special guest on the night will be my college bud, the amazingly talented Grainne Fahy from Westport. Grainne is a regular and respected singer songwriter on the Mayo music scene and has released several singles and EPs, including the recent “one in ten”, which has received lots of media and critical acclaim and attention.
