The Finbar Hoban Presents…shows have always being about giving local and talented artists and bands a shot of supporting some of the best acts in Ireland and Friday September 18th will be no different when local acts Michael Oliver Sheridan and The New Social will play support to one of Ireland’s finest acts Ryan Sheridan.
Singer song writer Michael Oliver Sheridan (Mick to his friends) has played in many acts around Castlebar over the past two decades including the soulful “Uncle Fuzz” “What The Funk” and his most recent side project from Dublin titled “Soul Power”. Probably one of the best entertainers in Castlebar and Mayo.
Over the past number of years Michael Oliver Sheridan has been writing and recording his own material where up until recently Mick has being showcasing some of his new material to crowds around Mayo including the Jam Shuggar Sessions and playing support to Paddy Casey at The Jester Bar in Westport. So this will be a very interesting and exclusive show for the Castlebar man who will be swapping the dance floor for a more laid back environment on the night
Moving onto one of Castlebar’s finest Rock original acts The New Social, The New Social have being playing a number of venues in Ireland in recent months including CobbleStone Joes in Limerick and the very famous Roisin Dubh with support slots to The Amazing Apples and The Riptide Movement amongst others. The lads are currently in the studio writing and recording new material for their new album due out later the year.
