Rising Irish singer songwriter Keith O Connell releases stunning new single

We recently had the chance to listen to the brand new track from upcoming singer songwriter Peter O Connell.

We like the sound of this track a lot. The track itself features melodies as if it could be taken off a Springsteen song which is a huge complement to the artist. But let us take a closer look at the artist and found out a little bit more about  Keith O Connell.

Dublin Songwriter Keith O Connell has just released his brand new track “Mirror of My Soul”

Dublin based singer-songwriter Keith O’Connell recorded his debut album, ‘Genetic Lottery’ which was released in September 2016. Keith’s music has been played nationally on many radio stations, including RTE Radio 1, 98fm, FM104, Radio Nova, KCLR FM and WLRfm.

Keith studied music in Ballyfermot’s Rock College in Dublin for two years and then proceeded to study music in CSN in Cork for another year.
Keith has also completed the music performance course in Kylemore College and is now concentrating on recording and performing his songs.

He has played support to various artists including Aslan, Bagatelle and Picturehouse.
Keith describes his style of music as “catchy, melodic pop-rock”, and in his live performances, he plays both keyboards and acoustic guitar to complement his songs.

The song was recorded by Dave Molloy in Forkhill, Armagh (lead guitars and production)

with Ronnie O’Flynn on bass a

The writing of the song was inspired many years ago while studying the poem Mirror in February by Thomas Kinsella in English class in secondary school.
At the time my mother was in hospital in a coma after suffering a brain hemorrhage, and the teacher I had at the time said “the eyes are the mirror of your soul”
With both these things in mind I wrote the song, but due to the personal theme of the song, I held off finishing, recording and releasing the song until now.

nd Dave McCune on drums. We look forward lots more from Keith O Connell in the future!!
