Singer songwriter Sarah Buckley’s new single is an absolute gem of a track. ‘Dream Catching’ is the type of track you should listen to when you close the doors and just want sublime peace. Perhaps Dream Catching is the great escape that we all need and should listen to. It’s a sweet number that never outstays its welcome, clocking in at 1 minute and 55 seconds.
‘Dream Catching’ is the third release from her forthcoming debut EP following the singles ‘You’ve Got Me‘ and ‘Magic Powers‘.
Support for these early releases has come from the RTE Radio 1 playlist, Hot Press, Folk Radio UK, Spin FM etc and Sarah has been opening live for many of her peers including Mick Flannery, Gemma Hayes, Ham Sandwich, Niamh Regan, The Magpies etc as well as performing at Electric Picnic and Vantastival.
A beguiling vocalist with a storytelling approach to song writing Sarah captured an immediate audience with the release of her debut single ‘You’ve Got Me’ with a national TV performance, international airplay, festival appearances and growing industry interest.
Hailing from Cork and describing herself as an ‘indie folk singer songwriter’, Sarah built on this early success by collaborating and recording over the last year with some of Ireland’s leading music producers, Karl Odlum (David Kitt, Gemma Hayes), Darragh Nolan (Ailbhe Reddy) & Richey McCourt (LAOISE, Will Young). The results of this will be released as two sister EPs in the coming months. Balancing themes of nature & mysticism, with relatable and razor-sharp lyrics, the collections allow Sarah’s infectious and haunting vocal style to shine through.
