Vickers Vimy brand new single “Where the Wildbirds Sleep” is a beautiful new track that sees vocalist Ed Drea take front lead here with beautiful melodies and lyrics. It’s a beautiful new track that sees the Mayo folk outfit really come into their own sound.
Working on their own tail winds, Ed and Fintan lovingly crafted the song over the Summer of 2021. The band, arranged, engineered, recorded and produced the single themselves in Eamonn’s home studio in Mayo as Covid restrictions were gently eased in December 2021.
Vickers Vimy will be opening the very first folk society club at The Velvet Lounge of the Royal Theatre in Castlebar tonight with a number of guest Musicians organised by Webster Mcneely
The band are planning to get out out on the road with lots of new shows over the coming months ahead and we are delighted to hear that they are planning more new song releases very soon. You can catch them live in The Velvet Lounge for the very first Folk Society Event taking place In The Velvet Lounge of The Royal Theatre tonight (Thursday April 7th)
