Junior Brother is an experimental alternative folk singer/ songwriter from Co. Kerry, Ireland, playing sometimes humorous, sometimes heady tunes. Strange stories, poetic and arcane, unfold with reckless abandon upon an idiosyncratic Guitar and Foot Tambourine accompaniment, taking musical influence from his upbringing in rural Ireland.
Chosen as one of RTÉ's Rising Irish Stars of 2018, Junior Brother has been steadily building a fanbase in his current base of Dublin, and around the country, winning followers with his unique and powerful live shows.
"He sings in a voice that makes no concession to the conventional approach of knocking off corners to gain acceptance, and he is all the better for it."

Escapism is a very necessary pursuit right now, and Villagers new album "Fever Dreams” follows it to mesmerising effect. It works like all the best records – it becomes a mode of transport; it picks you up from where you are and sets you down elsewhere. Conor O’Brien says on the gestation of Fever Dreams: “I had an urge to write something that was as generous to the listener as it was to myself. Sometimes the most delirious states can produce the most ecstatic, euphoric and escapist dreams.”
These are songs with the strange, melted shapes and the magical ambivalence of dreams. The intent of the songs is both mysterious and as clear as a bell. With Fever Dreams, there is a sense of a deepening mastery and an expanding reach by O’Brien. Inspiration for the album was found in many places and came in from all angles, from night swimming on a Dutch island to Flann O’Brien, Audre Lorde, David Lynch, L. S. Lowry via the library music of Piero Umiliani and Alessandro Alessandroni and jazz from Duke Ellington and Alice Coltrane.
Written over the course of two years, the main bodies of the songs were recorded in a series of full-band studio sessions in late 2019 and early 2020. During the long, slow pandemic days, O’Brien refined them in his tiny home studio in Dublin, and the album was then mixed by David Wrench (Frank Ocean, The xx, FKA Twigs). “Fever Dreams” was released via Domino Records in August 2021.
"Fever Dreams” follows The Art Of Pretending To Swim, Darling Arithmetic, {Awayland} and Becoming A Jackal. Conor O’Brien also has a string of accolades under his belt including two Ivor Novello Awards, two Mercury Music Prize nominations and is a previous winner of the Choice Music Prize. Additionally, Villagers’ music has featured in the BBC/Hulu series Normal People and their Spotify session of “Nothing Arrived” has hit over 185 million streams.
Domino Records recently released a deluxe digital edition of “Fever Dreams” featuring exclusive acoustic versions and this autumn for the first time Villagers will be touring acoustically playing intimate stripped back shows across Europe including the Royal Theatre Castlebar on November 6th.

Something amazing happens when Hothouse Flowers step onto the stage, something that has been shaped by over thirty years of singing and playing all over the world, yet no two shows have ever been the same! There is a sense of musical adventure - an impulse to reach new heights and depths in music where the unspoken aim is that the band and the audience become one and the world becomes a different place for a while.Hothouse Flowers is a rock n’roll band, Hothouse Flowers is a traditional band, and also a soul band. Despite the bands lengthy career, which is now heading into its fourth decade there is a sense of unfinished business. Every night they want to play the best gig they have ever played and take the musical risks that can maybe make that possible. There are still songs to be written and emotions to share. This year marks thirty years since Hothouse Flowers’ debut album, ‘People’, was released. It was the most successful debut album in Ireland ever!Hothouse Flowers come to The Ruby Room of the The Royal Theatre Castlebar on April 8th 2023 where they will be performing their acclaimed acoustic show with founding members Liam O’Maonlai, Fiachna O’Braonain and Peter O’Toole.Doors 8:00pmShow 8:30pmTickets for the event can be purchased online here -

Mick Flannery is one of Ireland’s most acclaimed songwriters and singers. The award-winning, double-platinum selling artist has released seven studio albums, three of which have reached No. 1 status.
“Mick Flannery has a voice for the ages, a complete Master of his craft” cited by Clash Magazine, whilst The Sunday Times said he “conjures up exquisite story-telling.” His last album in 2021 consisted of a collection of duets with up and coming Irish artist Susan O’Neill. American Songwriter called ‘In The Game’ a “Sorrowful Masterpiece.” The record was nominated for the Choice Music Prize, and won the RTE Radio 1 song of the year two years in a row for tracks ‘Baby Talk’ and ‘Chain Reaction.’ The album was the biggest selling independent record in Ireland in 2021. Mick’s debut album ‘Evening Train’ is currently in development as a stage musical, due to be back on the stage later in 2024.
Mick Flannery’s songs are fluent in expressing layered aspects of the human condition, its flaws, triumphs, and general uncertainty. Originally a stone mason by trade, he once described his stage presence as that of a ‘Mountain goat’ however over the years that shy awkwardness of said mountain goat has started to dissipate. His live shows are renowned for his self-deprecating humor, audience engagement and the ability to bring people on a journey of both heartbreak and joy, often in the same instance.
Mick has built up a reputation over the past decade as one of Ireland hardest working musicians, touring expensively at home and in more recent years abroad as his songs have been reaching folks farther afield. Ireland's best kept secret appears to be no more.

Irish singer-songwriter Lisa Hannigan’s critically acclaimed new album, ‘At Swim’, is available now through Play It Again Sam. Produced by Aaron Dessner (The National), her third, and arguably most bewitching record, follows the double-platinum, Choice Music Prize and Mercury-nominated debut ‘Sea Sew’, and 2011’s ‘Passenger’ (which charted at number 1 in Ireland, and earned Lisa another Choice Music Prize nomination).Hannigan first came to light as a somewhat mysterious figure singing harmonies alongside Damien Rice. She contributed significantly to Rice’s platinum-selling debut O and critically lauded follow up 9. They played together for seven years, but it wasn't until the release of her solo debut ‘Sea Sew’ that the full spectrum of her abilities became apparent.Lisa has since been stretching her musical expertise in many directions: collaborating with artists as diverse as Ray LaMontagne, Richard Hawley, Herbie Hancock and Glen Hansard. She made an acting debut as a mermaid in the Oscar-nominated animation ‘Song of the Sea’, and her haunting voice featured on soundtracks for the TV series ‘Fargo’ and the Oscar-winning score for ‘Gravity’, all the while founding and co-hosting the acclaimed ‘Soundings’ podcast (which saw Lisa turn interviewer, and speak to guests such as Harry Shearer, Sharon Horgan and David Arnold).Doors 8:00pmShow :9:00pmTickets for the event can be purchased online here
