Track Of The Day: Bury Me With My Money continue to evolve on new single ‘Guiding Star’

Emerging from the west of Ireland, alt-synth-rock outfit Bury Me With My Money (BMWMM) carve a unique niche within dense synth sounds, dancey beats, vocal experimentation, and unusual song structures. With the subtle, but steadfast support of Umbrella Records, BMWMM has modestly etched their place in the realm of unusual and catchy alt-rock bands.

Track Of The Day: Bury Me With My Money are back with first release of 2024 entitled “Guiding Star”

Since their inception, the band has unveiled two EPs, starting with the intriguing debut, “Karosi,” in 2020, which flung BMWMM into the conversation of Irish indie-tronica.

Following this, the equally captivating “Life as it Comes” EP in 2021, further showcased the band’s ability to captivate audiences with their upbeat, sonic explorations. Both EPs are complemented by equally intriguing music videos.

In August ’23, BMWMM released “Power of Flight”, a delightful detour from the band’s electronic roots, instead tipping a hat to their love of guitar-driven tunes and 80s/90s rock styling.

The first half of the track is slow, sensitive and reflective. After the delicate dance of synth, guitars and belting vocals in the verses, the listener is lured into a sparse delicate chorus, before taking off into an explosive full band minute.

Eventually the listener drops back into an elaborated chorus/outro, which sustains the power of the breakdown, but retains the delicate nature of the earlier verses, satisfyingly tieing the track together in just over 4 minutes.

“Guiding Star” was produced at Umbrella Records, Galway and is set for the airwaves on January 23rd, inviting music enthusiasts to experience the latest chapter in BMWMM’s unfolding narrative.
