Track of the Day: Robin James Hurt brings passion and intensity on new single

Robin has released three albums and three EPs under his own name, as well as recording with many other acts and having songs featured in several TV and film soundtracks.

The burning passion and intensity of his live performances have earned Robin a keen following across Ireland and all around the globe, from festival stages (Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, Celtic Connections, many others) to theatres, clubs and small fireside sessions.

SPIKE ISLAND:
Robin has curated the exciting Spike Island stage at Electric Picnic, Ireland’s international headline festival of music and the arts, since 2019. Spike Island is a swampshack hootenanny of trad, newgrass, lo-fi, gypsy jazz, folk punk, and all shapes and sizes of musical miscreants.
MORNING MIST:
Morning Mist is a stunningly beautiful paen to emotional perseverance written by the Sligo singer/songwriter Pearse McGloughlin. First heard by Robin in the basement of the International Bar in Dublin in 2012, he has finally recorded the story of the piece in his own inimitable voice and musical style. Morning Mist is Robin James Hurt‘s first single release from his upcoming, fourth full length record, titled ‘And We For One Another.’
